ABOUT ME
Anaya Jones is a passionate and dedicated dancer, performer, model, and emerging commercial artist with over 14 years of training and performance experience. Known for her versatility, strong work ethic, and dynamic stage presence, Anaya has trained extensively in hip-hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, tap, jazz funk, acro, modern, ballroom, heels, waacking, popping, and voguing. While her versatility allows her to move confidently across styles, hip-hop remains at the heart of her artistry—a space where her individuality, musicality, personality, and love for movement truly come alive.
Throughout her dance journey, Anaya has earned numerous titles, scholarships, and special awards at regional and national competitions and conventions. Her accomplishments include being named Freestyler of the Year, Title Winner, Shooting Star recipient, and the recipient of multiple Special Judges Awards. Her commitment to growth has also earned her scholarships to programs including CLI Conservatory and AMDA, as well as acceptance into the Joffrey Ballet School BFA Trainee Program and other elite training opportunities.
Anaya is a proud member of the Tremaine Performance Company and KAOS Squad, where she has expanded her experience beyond performing to assisting, teaching, and mentoring younger dancers. Her performance credits include convention closing shows, galas, special events, concept videos, and lead roles in ADE Gala productions. She has also appeared in the No Mercy concept video by Akira Reierford, further expanding her experience in front of the camera and within the commercial dance environment.
Understanding that a successful professional career requires both artistic development and knowledge of the industry, Anaya is intentional about growing beyond the studio. She has participated in Phil Wright's Chicken Nugget University, further developing her hip-hop artistry, and Menina Fortunato's The Business of Dance mentorship program, where she has gained valuable insight into the professional and business sides of the dance industry.
Throughout her training, Anaya has had the opportunity to learn from respected choreographers and educators including Jona Biddle, Comfort Fedoke, Natalie Bebko, Dexter Carr, Shanorris Pollock, Jawkeen Howard, Reggie Oliver, Tiffany Maher, Christina "Pasty" Grady, Fefe Burgos, Klaudia Antos, and many others. These experiences have helped shape her versatility, confidence, professionalism, and continued evolution as an artist.
Anaya's creativity extends beyond the dance floor. As a model, she has walked in Miami Swim Week for Charlean Couture and continues to explore opportunities that bring together movement, fashion, and performance. Her work has also been featured in Dance Spirit Magazine, Wild Child Magazine, and Dancer Mocha Magazine, highlighting her talent, dedication, and growing presence within the dance community.
Teaching and mentorship have also become meaningful parts of Anaya's journey. She has taught classes at several dance studios, assisted dancers in convention settings, and shared her love of movement with younger students through the dance club at Eden Park Elementary. Whether performing for an audience or encouraging a young dancer in the studio, Anaya strives to bring the same energy, patience, positivity, and passion to every experience.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Anaya is known for her warmth, humility, positive spirit, and strong character. Family remains an important part of her life, and when she is not dancing, she enjoys spending time with those closest to her and caring for her dog, Flash. Her interests include basketball, cooking, drawing, gymnastics, acting, singing, and forensics—reflecting a creative and curious spirit that reaches far beyond the stage.
Anaya approaches every opportunity with passion, professionalism, and a desire to continue learning. Her strong stage presence, diverse training, determination, and commitment to excellence continue to prepare her for the next chapter of her journey.
With aspirations of building a professional career in commercial dance and entertainment in major markets such as Los Angeles and New York, Anaya is excited to continue performing, creating, modeling, teaching, and evolving as an artist. More than anything, she hopes her journey encourages other young artists to believe in their individuality, work relentlessly toward their goals, and pursue what they love with confidence, determination, and heart.
